Whoa, Nordstrom Is Now Helping You Donate Your Unwanted Stuff

You can get a new handbag, a trendy velvet blazer and your kid’s prom dress there, but did you know you can also get rid of your unwanted clothing at Nordstrom?

Starting today, the department store will accept secondhand donations via mail and in select brick-and-mortar stores.

Here’s how it works: Grab a box (the one from your most recent Nordstrom order works nicely), pack it full of wardrobe discards, go to and print a free shipping label, then drop off the box at any UPS or USPS location. Your old winter coat, that chunky necklace you never wear, those bright-yellow tights you can’t stand… It will all be donated to various charities and nonprofits in need, including your local Goodwill.

Bottom line: Full heart. Clean closet. Can’t lose.
