Nikki Reed and her Vampire Diaries hubby, Ian Somerhalder, have such a unique plan for the first month following their tiny new family member's arrival, and we're convinced she just might be the real life Mother of Dragons.
In an interview for the September cover of Fit Pregnancy and Baby magazine, the Twilight actress revealed that she and Somerhalder plan to take “one month of silence” following the birth of their first child. No, they won’t be taking a literal vow of silence, but the couple plan to turn off their phones and ask visitors to kindly keep their distance. “Otherwise, every five minutes it would be, ‘How are you feeling? Can we have a picture?’” Reed explained to the mag. “You don’t get those first 30 days back, and we want to be fully present.” Interesting...
The 29-year-old actress continued on to say that the couple doesn’t want to feel pressured to give updates on their newborn via social media or release photos to the press, but instead, they want to truly relish the joy of new parenthood.
The question remains: Does the “no visitors” policy apply to in-laws? Because if so, we just may hop on board this train. Kidding...kinda.
