We’re still not over the fact that Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra had four—we repeat, four—wedding receptions. But (good news!) the 26-year-old groom just admitted that he knew it was overkill when he saw the bill.
The Jonas Brothers—Nick, Joe and Kevin—recently teamed up with James Corden for a brand-new episode of Carpool Karaoke, where Nick took a lie detector test and addressed the topic that has been haunting us since his fourth reception.
At the 4:45 mark, Corden hooks up Nick to the lie detector test before asking what we’re all thinking:
“Was there a point during your many weddings that you thought, ‘I’m done with these weddings?'”
Following a brief moment of silence, Nick exhales and then whispers, “Yes.”
After the detector confirms he told the truth, the newlywed giggles before adding, “It was when I looked at the bill!”
Nick and Chopra announced their engagement back in July 2018 and tied the knot in December at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India. Although they had two wedding ceremonies—one Christian and one Hindu—that didn’t stop them from having four receptions: one in New Delhi, one in North Carolina and two in Mumbai.
We’d do anything to get our hands on that bill.
