Nick Jonas Responds to Fans Who Pointed Out He Had Food in His Teeth at the Grammys

PSA: Nick Jonas is fully aware that he had something in his teeth at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

During the 62nd annual ceremony, the Jonas Brothers took the stage to perform their hit single “What’s a Man Gotta Do” and debut a brand-new track, “Five More Minutes.” After the performance, fans immediately flooded social media with comments about Jonas, who had visible food stuck in his teeth. (Hey, we’ve all been there.)

Jonas ignored the situation initially, writing, “So honored to have been back on the Grammy stage tonight.” But the “Jealous” singer eventually poked fun at the mishap: “And at least you all know I eat my greens.”

His followers played along with the joke on Twitter, creating a hilarious thread of tweets. Some tried to identify the foreign object, writing, “Definitely SPINACH.” Others said what we’re all thinking: “Yay he’s human!” One fan even added, “And the Grammy goes to the piece of salad stuck in Nick Jonas tooth.”

We don’t blame Jonas for having something in his teeth, since we can’t count the times it’s happened to us. Still, we’ve never experienced anything as public as the Grammys, so we can only imagine how Jonas (and his dentist) feels.

The musician attended the awards show alongside his two brothers, Kevin and Joe. While the trio walked the red carpet in coordinating gold ensembles, we couldn’t help but notice they also wore purple ribbons in honor of Kobe Bryant, who sadly passed away yesterday morning.

Lesson learned: Never leave home without a toothpick.
