Natalie Portman Posts Extremely Rare Pic of Her Kids on Instagram

Natalie Portman just shared an extremely rare glimpse at her life as a mother, and she looks totally in her element.

The Black Swan star, 38, recently posted a never-before-seen photo on her personal Instagram account. The pic—which was taken by her husband, Benjamin Millepied—shows Portman hugging her two children, Aleph (8) and Amalia (3), who was just a baby at the time.

In the candid photo, Portman is holding Amalia while Aleph embraces them in a group hug. She captioned the post with three heart emojis, along with a photo credit for Millepied.

The personal snap might shock some fans, since Portman rarely shares pics of her children on social media. Instead, her Instagram feed is mainly filled with selfies, cooking videos and book recommendations, along with the occasional throwback photo.

For example, Portman recently celebrated Mother’s Day by sharing a red carpet pic featuring her mom, Shelley Stevens.

In the caption, the actress gushed over her mother’s influence, writing, “My first blessing in life was to be born to my mom. She is the most loving, caring, generous, cuddly, funny, smart, talented, creative person I could ever imagine getting to spend my childhood with. And now I’m blessed by my kids who turned me into a mom and make me smile and laugh every single day—and who make me appreciate my mom even more for all the invisible things she did for me that I realize now as I try to live up to her mothering.”

Based on this photo of her children, it appears she’s living up to expectations.
