Naomi Watts Just Taught a Master Class in Summer Dressing

Nothing says summer like a printed sundress. So, when Naomi Watts attended an intimate sunset dinner at Duryea’s Lobster Deck in Montauk, New York, this past Saturday to celebrate Ulla Johnson’s new Amagansett Square store, you better believe she put her best print forward.

The 50-year-old Game of Thrones prequel star hit the Hamptons and posed alongside Johnson wearing the Emelyn dress in fuchsia from the designer’s eponymous pre-spring 2020 collection.

Note the purple sand dollar print, the subtly ruffled tiered skirt and the unique sleeves, which appear to be some sort of cape-inspired balloon sleeves.

Sadly, the Emelyn frock isn’t available until December of this year, but at least we can snag it in time for a warm winter getaway.

Watts accessorized the dress with Johnson’s Raya Trapeze Bag in natural. Just look at that super cute bracelet handle detail. Although the bag is sold out, the Hand Woven Wicker Trapeze top handle bag, also by Johnson, is still available at the friendly price point of $295.

The actress completed the look with a straw topper similar to the Brixton Joanna straw hat with a black ribbon ($44), pink sunnies like the Nike Revere 51mm mirrored round sunglasses ($119) or Tom Ford Rhett 55mm style ($395), and chic black toe ring sandals like the Rag & Bone Arc flat sandals ($325).

We can’t tell which is dreamier: The sunset behind Watts and Johnson or that vibrant pink dress. Either way, we’ll take both.
