You Guys, Miranda Kerr Cooked an Entire Rotisserie Chicken for Evan Spiegel on Their Wedding Day
We had no doubt that supermodel Miranda Kerr and Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel’s wedding would be an elegant affair, but photos published by Vogue today show it was even more chic than we imagined. Oh, and Kerr revealed she personally cooked a slow-roasted chicken for her hubby-to-be's dinner that evening.
The couple, who tied the knot at their Brentwood, California, mansion on May 27, 2017, in front of 45 friends and family members, were committed to keeping their nuptials small and private. The couple started their day off with an hour of yoga (their first date was a Kundalini yoga class), Kerr revealed to the fashion mag. She then headed down to the kitchen to make Spiegel's dinner... Yes, you read that correctly. The caterers (and yes, they had caterers) were tasked with mimicking Kerr’s slow-roasted chicken with turmeric and lemon recipe for all of the guests to enjoy.
For her backyard wedding, the new Mrs. Spiegel chose a stunning custom Dior Haute Couture dress reminiscent of the iconic gown Grace Kelly wore for her wedding to Prince Rainier of Monaco.
A stark departure from her days as a Victoria Secret Angel, Kerr opted for long sleeves and a high neckline to create “a sense of purity and mystery.”
The gown’s full satin, whipped-butter-colored skirt boasted appliqué lilies of the valley. Kerr topped off her ethereal look with a pearl-encrusted headpiece by Stephen Jones and stepped into a short custom Dior dress for their relaxed reception.
After their kind of low-key nuptials, Kerr and Spiegel headed off on an extravagant honeymoon in Fiji.
We still can't get over the chicken.
