Mindy Kaling Reveals That Chandler & Joey on ‘Friends’ Helped Kickstart Her ‘Sexual Awakening’

Mindy Kaling was one of the many high-profile guest stars on the recent HBO Max special Friends: The Reunion. The 41-year-old actress featured alongside other celebrity guests like Lady Gaga, David Beckham, James Corden and many more.

To honor the premiere of the highly-anticipated special, Kaling posted a photo of a young Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry (known for their roles as Joey Tribbiani and Chandler Bing) that was taken only three months after the first episode of the ’90s sitcom aired.

In the image, Perry and LeBlanc are both smizing at the camera, while sporting black and white jerseys for a Homeless 4 Hockey charity event. Kaling shared the alluring image with the caption: “my sexual awakening.”

The fact that Kaling found her sexual awakening through the Friends cast is *too* relatable, and many people in the comments showed that they underwent a similar experience. Model and fellow guest star Cara Delevingne commented, “Yup. This did it for me.” Meanwhile beauty entrepreneur Deepica Mutyala added, “So much same.” One user even said, “Chandler. My one true love.” However, Zayn Marie Khan noticed that Kaling had left out one of the male leads from the show, saying, “So sad Ross.”

Along with Kaling revealing her longtime love for the series (and her early crushes), the Friends: The Reunion special offered many tantalizing tidbits for fans. Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer divulged that there was secret flirtation between the two of them during early seasons of the show, but nothing ever came of it (to which Matt LeBlanc responded, “Bullsh*t”).

We waited a long time for this Friends reunion, but the things we've learned have not disappointed.
