One time, Mindy Kaling saw Beyoncé wearing a flower crown and a white blouse, so she bought a flower crown and a white blouse.

Yesterday, the Champions star shared a slideshow on Instagram and proved she’s capable of re-creating Beyoncé’s iconic Vogue cover, which features the singer wearing a massive floral headdress.

Kaling posted a side-by-side photo and wrote, “@Beyonce Pad Thai, Vogue Edition.”

Earlier this month, Beyoncé debuted the historic Vogue issue. Not only was it the mag’s first cover by a black photographer (23-year-old Tyler Mitchell), but it was also the first time editor-in-chief Anna Wintour gave “unprecedented” control to a cover star.

We give Kaling an A for effort.
