Mindy Kaling Posts Rare Video of Her Kids Playing in the Snow

A big winter storm may have hit the northeast this past weekend, but that didn't stop Katy Perry from flying in for her SNL performance or Rihanna from flaunting her surprise baby bump.

From the looks of it, Mindy Kaling had an exciting weekend too. The actress posted rare footage on Instagram of her children enjoying the winter snow. In the first photo, Kaling is seen smiling down at her bundled-up kids, Katherine, 4, and Spencer, 1. This is followed by a video of Katherine laying down in the snow.

“The upside of this nor’easter is that my kids got to see snow and be in my home state for the first time!” Kaling said in her caption. “They could hardly believe it.”

The Office alum ended her caption with a sentimental message, saying, “I sound like a bad greeting card, but it’s so beautiful seeing experiences from my own childhood through their eyes. The joy, the surprise. Sometimes it’s such a powerful feeling I want to cry. So yeah, I’m just that weird emotional Indian woman lugging a sled up the hill.”

Fellow celebs shared their love in the comments—like Kaling's former Office co-star, Angela Kinsey, who commented a red heart emoji, and Reese Witherspoon, who said, “What a wonderful moment to share!” Uzo Aduba wrote, “Awwww. Too cute :). Suuuuuper jealous your back home in MA for this!!! Looks great:).”

Prior to posting this snowy adventure with her kids, Kaling also shared a wintry selfie, which she captioned: “Ms. Blizz ‘22.”
