Michael B. Jordan is no stranger to superhero flicks. The 34-year-old actor has starred as supervillain Erik Killmonger in Black Panther and the Human Torch in Fantastic Four. Now, Jordan is working on a totally new superhero project from behind-the-scenes, but we're hoping he might make an appearance on-screen as well.
In a story broken by Collider, it was revealed that the Just Mercy actor is working with his production company Outlier Society to produce a brand-new Black Superman project for HBO Max. The work, which is being rumored as a limited series, will focus on Val-Zod, a Kryptonian character who took over the role of Superman in the Earth 2 Vol 1 #19 issue in 2014.
In the article from Collider, they reported that the project is being written as “a limited series that Jordan will produce and possibly even star in, though he has yet to officially commit on the latter front.” If Jordan is going to act in the series, we have to wonder if he might take on the lead role of Val-Zod himself (and you certainly won't see us do any complaining).
