Prince Harry’s reaction to seeing Meghan Markle walk down the aisle was priceless, but there’s no denying the bride’s Givenchy dress was the most talked about part of the ceremony.

So, naturally, we were thrilled when Kensington Palace released fashion designer Clare Waight Keller’s original sketches of the gown over the weekend. And it appears Markle loved the sketch, considering the drawing looks nearly identical to the boat neck wedding dress she donned during the ceremony at St. George’s Chapel.

Despite the simple design, Markle still teamed up with the Givenchy designer to ensure every detail was perfect. “The Duchess and Ms. Waight Keller worked closely together on the design, which epitomizes a timeless minimal elegance referencing the codes of the iconic House of Givenchy,” the caption read.

The palace also revealed the sweet meaning behind the bride’s veil, saying, “Ms. Waight Keller designed a veil representing the distinctive flora of all 53 Commonwealth countries united in one spectacular floral composition.”

Brava, Clare. Brava.
