Meghan Markle’s ‘Suits’ Castmates Gave Her a Serious, No-Nonsense Nickname

As it turns out, Meghan Markle had quite an interesting nickname during her time on the hit show, Suits

Speaking on Vice's “Vice Versa: Meghan Markle Escaping The Crown,” which premiered this month, royal insider Omid Scobie revealed that the Duchess of Sussex was referred to as “Meghan Gets Sh*t Done” by her castmates.

According to Scobie and the show’s executive director, Brian Harris, she got this nickname because of her charity work, such as organizing on-set food to be donated to local shelters. We’re not surprised.

While she was living in Toronto (where the show was filmed), Markle spent much of her time volunteering at The St. Felix Centre, a charity focused on helping vulnerable members of Toronto’s community. In fact, the organization shared a never-before-seen throwback photo in December of the duchess volunteering in their kitchen.

“Meghan Markle was an active supporter and volunteer of St. Felix Centre during her time living in the city while working on Suits,” part of the caption reads. “She volunteered on a regular basis in our kitchen as part of our Community Meals Program. The Duchess also donated food from the set of Suits, and on one Thanksgiving she brought in all the food, turkeys and the fixings for over 100 people.”

The community centre also revealed that the staff nicknamed the Duchess of Sussex “the lovely Meghan.”

Two pretty awesome nicknames for one pretty awesome duchess.
