Meghan Markle Gets ‘Simpsons’ Voiceover Offer: ‘Give Us a Call’

Hey, Meghan Markle: The team behind The Simpsons is trying to get ahold of you for a brand-new voiceover opportunity.

Al Jean (showrunner and executive producer of The Simpsons) sat down for an interview with RadioTimes and revealed that he’d love to work with Markle, who recently stepped down as a senior member of the royal family alongside her husband, Prince Harry.

“We’ve talked about Harry and Meghan,” he said, according to The Daily Mail. “I hear she wants to do voiceover work. So, if they’re reading this, give us a call.”

Jean is referring to Markle’s new deal with Disney, in which she’s contracted to do voiceover work for an unknown project. Although Prince Harry pitched the idea to Disney CEO Bob Iger, we later learned that Markle’s involvement is in exchange for a donation towards the conservation charity Elephants Without Borders.

Unfortunately, Jean didn’t reveal any further details about Markle’s potential voiceover role on The Simpsons, but we have a few ideas. The most obvious is for the duchess to play herself, highlighting her recent move to Canada. The showrunners could also animate her character from Suits, Rachel Zane, who departed the series after season seven.

Now that Markle is free of royal duties, we wouldn’t be surprised if she takes on a few projects. Bonus points if she can record the voiceover from the comfort of her new home.
