Here’s Why Meghan Markle Didn’t Stand with Queen Elizabeth & Kate Middleton at Sunday’s Remembrance Ceremony

The fab four are finally back together! Well, kind of.

This weekend, the royal foursome—Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle—teamed up in honor of Remembrance Day.

The group kicked things off on Saturday at the Festival of Remembrance Service, which took place at the Royal Albert Hall. They attended the event alongside other members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles. The next day, they reunited (once again) for the Remembrance Sunday service at The Cenotaph.

However, during the ceremony, we couldn’t help but notice that Queen Elizabeth, Kate Middleton and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, stood together on one balcony, while Markle watched from the balcony of another window. She was accompanied by the Queen’s daughter-in-law, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, as well as Sir Timothy Laurence, Princess Anne’s husband.

We were happy to discover that the arrangement wasn’t a slight to the duchess. It was simply because the royal balconies are quite small.

During official events, the royal family also arranges themselves according to a royal “pecking order.” For instance, Prince William and Middleton are usually placed ahead of Prince Harry and Markle, being that William is the older, more senior brother.

Last week, news of the group reuniting shocked some royal aficionados, since the foursome has kept their distance as of late. In fact, this was their first joint appearance since July 2019 when the royal family attended the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day

All we know is, we’re happy to see the whole gang back together.
