Meghan Markle Gets Candid About Raising Her Son Archie in New Interview

Meghan Markle may be a duchess, an actress and a podcast host, but being a mother always comes first.

The Duchess of Sussex recently sat down with The Cut magazine, where she opened up about raising her three-year-old son, Archie, with her husband, Prince Harry. And apparently in the Sussex household, learning and using manners is very important—as is generosity.

“We always tell him: ‘Manners make the man. Manners, manners, manners, manners, manners,’” Markle told the publication.

And even though Archie is still young, he certainly takes after his mother in a major way: He has a big heart. In the candid interview, the duchess also revealed that Archie always “brings a week's worth of freshly picked fruit” whenever he attends his classmate’s birthday parties. How sweet.

Just like her son, Markle has given a number of heartfelt presents in the past. In December 2020, she gifted former talk show host, Oprah Winfrey, with a latte set from the health brand, Clevr. The television personality posted a video of herself opening the present on her personal Instagram page.

Winfrey wrote in the caption, “On the first day of Christmas my neighbor “M” sent to me...a basket of deliciousness! (Yes that M👑) My new drink of choice for the morning and night. Wish I had @clevrblends sooner cause I would’ve added it to my Favorite Things list. #HappyHolidays.”

Like mother, like son.
