Apparently Meghan Markle Knew *This* Royal Way Before She Started Dating Prince Harry

Before Meghan Markle began a relationship with Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex had a friendship with one special member of the royal family.

On Sunday, the 39-year-old and her husband sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all conversation, titled Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special. During the interview, the couple opened up about their decision to step down as senior royals, their relationship with the media and what it was like for the duchess to meet the members of the royal family for the first time. Turns out, she already had a relationship with one member of the group—Harry's cousin, Princess Eugenie.

“Eugenie and I had known each other before I had known Harry, so that was comfortable,” Markle revealed (although she failed to state how exactly they knew each other). However, if we had to guess, we’d assume they were introduced by the same mutual friend who eventually set Markle and Harry up.

“We're friends with them as a couple,” she continued. The duke and duchess’s relationship with the Princess of York and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, has been well-known for quite some time. In fact, the group of four often went on double dates and Eugenie even stopped by Canada to see the couple when Harry was visiting Markle during her time on Suits.

Now, if only we could find out who this mystery person is who started a royal friendship and a royal relationship for Meghan.
