The jet-setting royals are back at it, and this time, they’re headed to the “place where the sun sets,” aka Morocco.
Yep, grab your wide-brimmed hat and comfy walking shoes, because the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (who are expecting their first child in late April or Early May) will dash off to the Western Kingdom at the end of February for their next royal visit. Harry and Meghan will be in Morocco from Saturday, February 23, to Monday, February 25.
No word yet on which part of the Arabic-speaking country they’ll stay in (the palace said “full details of the visit will be announced in due course”) but our fingers are crossed for the markets of Marrakech and the aquamarine coast of Casablanca. And here’s lookin’ at you, kids. (Sorry, couldn’t help ourselves.)
Markle, who will be nearly seven (!!) months pregnant when the royals take off, is going to have to pack a variety of bump-hugging wardrobe changes for their tour, which will last only three full days. (The mama-to-be had nearly 50 outfit changes during the royal tour of Oceania, which lasted 16 days, but still…). And we wonder if Camilla Parker Bowles was dropping hints when she wore a very un-Camilla-esque Moroccan mint-green caftan to the British Asian Trust event this week. (Also, Markle should definitely bring a similar beaded ensemble along for her trip.)
Between now and then, we’re set to see the royal couple at the Natural History Museum in London for a performance of “The Wider Earth” on February 12, then Harry will depart for the Arctic Circle (best of luck, mate) to oversee extreme weather training for the Royal Marines. Yep, that means he’s spending his first married Valentine’s Day away from his expecting wife the duchess (nooooooooo!).
Megs and Harry: We officially volunteer to watch your puppy, Oz, while you’re on vacay. (No, no, no, it would be an honor.)
