Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Were Just Spotted on a Double Date with Pregnant Pal Katharine McPhee and Husband David Foster

Meghan Markle and longtime pal Katharine McPhee seem closer than ever these days.

Just hours after the news broke that McPhee was expecting her first child with hubby, David Foster, the couple was spotted celebrating with the Suits alum and her husband, Prince Harry. The two couples participated in a rare double date at a restaurant in Montecito, California.

In pictures captured by The Daily Mail, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at the unnamed eatery hand-in-hand and sporting PPE. For the occasion, Markle opted for a camel-colored sweater, cropped leather pants and a trenchcoat draped over her shoulders. She topped off the look with a pair of orange heels. Harry, on the other hand, went for a more casual look with a white button-down, trousers and a pair of brown shoes.

The outing doesn’t come as a total surprise, considering the two women have known each other for years (they even attended the same school together) and, as a result, their husbands have grown incredibly close.

According to the Waitress star, her hubby and the duke have a “really beautiful” relationship. “They're so cute, they're like father and son," McPhee said in an interview with Access. "We just stay in touch with them. Meghan and I knew each other from childhood, but really, Harry and my husband are friends, so it's really nice.”

Not to mention, Foster was the one who helped Meghan and Harry find their temporary home in Canada when they stepped down as senior members of the royal family.

Now that the ex-royal couple has moved to the West Coast, we imagine there will be a ton of playdates between baby Archie and McPhee and Foster’s expected child. And is it possible the duke and duchess could be in the running for godparents? We certainly hope so.
