Looks like Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and baby Archie are planning for a semi-permanent house guest. A new report reveals that the royal couple is currently in the process of getting their new Santa Barbara home ready for Markle’s mother Doria Ragland.
“They’re converting one of the guesthouses into a home for Doria, who plans to split her time between L.A. and Montecito,” a source close to the couple told Us Weekly. Obviously reports should be taken with a grain of salt until the duo officially comments, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Doria did move in to be a full-time granny to Archie.
The royals’ new $14.65 million home, which they moved into back in July, is about 100 miles north of the L.A. estate (formerly owned by Tyler Perry) they had been staying at since the beginning of quarantine. A representative for the couple revealed, “They have settled into the quiet privacy of their community since their arrival and hope that this will be respected for their neighbors, as well as for them as a family.”
The area of Montecito is also home to other famous stars like Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres. And as it turns out, the duo has already become friendly with a few of their A-list neighbors.
