This is the first time we’ve noticed the pop-up, so we’re not exactly sure when the feature was added. (However, we imagine it is fairly new.)
And this isn’t the only update to the site this month. In fact, last week, the couple made a change to their foundation’s site by posting a lengthy statement in which they explained their meaning of compassion and asked readers to share their stories.
Part of the message reads: “To us, compassion means more than the dictionary definition. It means listening with open ears to the suffering and celebrations of communities and people beyond ourselves. It means taking the time to understand their perspectives, experiences and needs based on what they say, rather than assuming what they need. It means uplifting diverse voices and giving a platform to people to share their stories. It means taking that newfound understanding and empathy and channeling it into action for people who need it the most.”
Taking a break from electronics and showing compassion? It’s definitely clear where Meghan and Harry’s priorities lie. And we’re totally on board.
