Meghan Markle’s Mother Just Left London, but the Duchess Already Has Another Visitor on the Way

Being a royal comes with its own set of responsibilities. Throw a newborn baby into the mix and, well…that's what grandmas are for, right?

It was speculated that Meghan Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, would stay with the new mom for a few months after the birth of her grandson, Archie (er, Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor). But it seems that Ragland has already headed back to Los Angeles. The Daily Mail reports that she was seen walking her dogs at home on Tuesday. Duty calls, ya know?

Worry not—Meghan Markle's best friend Jessica Mulroney was seen boarding a flight from Toronto to London…and we can only assume it's to meet Archie for the first time.

The Canadian stylist, 39, and her husband, Ben (who was seen already in London at the time), are rumored to be on the short list of potential godparents to the newborn. Way back in 2018 (practically lifetimes ago), the Mulroneys attended Markle and Prince Harry's wedding, and their three children participated in the wedding party. The two also accompanied the duke and duchess on their royal tour of Australia more recently. Frontrunners? Sounds like it.

If Mulroney is on her way to meet baby Sussex, she'll become a member of the growing list of Archie's royal visitors—Ragland, Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth were among the first to meet him, but Prince Charles also paid a trip to see to his new grandson. So even though Markle's mom has departed, it seems as though the family of three is in very good hands. Who even needs a babysitter?

And the Royal Godparents for Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Baby Are…
