Meghan Markle Just Started the Most Unexpected Animal Print Trend

She's baaaaack! After about a two-week absence from the spotlight, Meghan Markle finally stepped out today to visit one of her new royal patronages, SmartWorks.

For the occasion, where the duchess worked with women who are trying to get back on their feet and find jobs after tragedy and hardship, she wore a Hatch maternity dress over her growing baby bump and paired it with an Oscar de la Renta duster coat.

But the real star of the royal’s outfit: her cow-print-and-PVC heels by Gianvito Rossi. An interesting choice for Markle, who rarely wears animal prints, never dons furs and often opts for vegan leather. This is probably her most out-there footwear choice to date.

Unfortunately, this exact style, called the Plexi, isn't online anymore. Markle's worn these shoes before in 2016 and posted about them on her now-shutdown Instagram, according to Twitter fan account Meghan's Mirror.

However, the Gianvito Rossi classic silhouette is still available in other patterns, like leopard and python. They retail for $795.

Markle also wore “Felicity” earrings ($403) from the ethical jewelry brand Kimai and a Victoria Beckham vanity textured-leather tote ($925).

Moooooove over, leopards and zebras and tigers, oh my!
