We’ve been unfriended on social media (heck, even blocked) by an ex after a relationship goes south, but having a drama-filled TV show created about said breakup? Now that’s a little excessive. And it’s exactly what Meghan Markle’s ex, Trevor Engelson, decided to do.
Yep, Prince Harry’s GF is sure to find it bloody intriguing (is that how the Brits say it?) that her ex-hubby (they were married for two years) is coproducing a show for Fox that’s kind of about them. According to Deadline, it follows what happens when an ex-wife marries a British prince and shares custody of their children amid London’s tabloid media. Literally, that’s the premise of the show...from the dude who used to be married to Prince Harry’s hopefully-soon-to-be fiancée. Oof.
This isn’t Engelson’s first rodeo, though. He’s also the producer of Snowfall on FX (about the 1980s crack epidemic in L.A.) and Heathers, the TV series adaptation of the 1988 cult-classic film with Winona Ryder.
So next time an ex asks for his sweatshirt back, just remember: Things could be worse.
