For as many royal traditions that Meghan Markle is bucking, she isn't skipping them all. In addition to being baptized into the Church of England, Markle had to brush up on her tea-drinking skills. (Yes, really.)
According to Us Weekly, Markle made sure to practice the proper way to sip before meeting Her Royal Highness the Queen.
The tidbit is revealed in Andrew Morton's new (obviously unauthorized) biography, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess. Apparently, ahead of her first meeting with Queen Elizabeth last fall, Markle visited Rose Tree Cottage in Pasadena, California, to learn all the protocols that go along with having tea with the queen—ya know, basics like how you have to crook your finger as you hold your cup and saucer.
Queen-approved tea skills? Time to update the old résumé, Meg.
