Enninful explains that the Duchess of Sussex was the first person to ever guest edit and remembered the process of working together as incredible. In celebration of their meaningful issue that “focused on women who were changing the world,” Markle gifted the editor-in-chief and herself tiny party fascinators and party horns. Then, they set about calling their cover stars.
So, what did we learn? For one, Markle doesn’t think she’s a fashion expert (the evidence shows otherwise, Megs), Jane Fonda is incredibly proud of Markle’s work and Adwoa Aboah totally said the f-word while chatting with the duchess.
Markle captioned the video with the same verbiage that Enninful utilized on his personal Instagram: “#ForcesForChange, guest edited by The Duchess of Sussex @SussexRoyal, was our fastest-selling issue in the history of #BritishVogue (sold out in 10 days) and the biggest-selling issue of the past decade. I can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store...”
The Duchess of Sussex added, “To celebrate, we wanted to share this never before seen video behind the scenes with Edward and The Duchess of Sussex on the creation of this special issue. Please note, this was filmed last August in London. Congratulations to all of those who took part in the 2019 September issue, and huge thanks to those who supported and helped make this a success!”
We definitely wouldn’t mind an American Vogue guest edited by Markle herself. Just saying.
