All the Clues That Amal and Meghan Swap Shopping Secrets Were Right in Front of Our Eyes

BFFs who ride on private jets together, stay together. (That’s the age-old saying, right?) And it seems celeb besties Meghan Markle and Amal Clooney are also sharing shopping tips, too.

Clooney, who recently paid for the Duchess of Sussex’s New York City baby shower (and provided her own private jet as a way for the pregnant royal to get back to London after), has recently been spotted wearing clothing from one of the duchess’s go-to vintage stores. Does this mean the two are swapping style secrets? We think so, and here’s why.

Earlier this month, the human rights lawyer attended a dinner at Buckingham Palace in a stunning white Jean-Louis Scherrer by Stephane Rolland Grecian-style gown from 2007 from famous London vintage dealer William Vintage.

The store, founded by London’s “King of Vintage” William Banks-Blaney in 2010, is beloved by the stars. It carries pristine, high-quality, haute couture pieces by designers like Courrèges, Balenciaga and Dior, most often from collections produced in the 1920s to early 1990s.

So we were not surprised to see that Markle recently stepped out in a black trapeze coat from William Vintage that she wore during her star-studded baby shower weekend in NYC. The duchess wore another coat and a black neck scarf from William Vintage during her and Prince Harry’s Bristol visit in February.

According to fan blog Amal Clooney Style, the duchess’s BFF has actually worn numerous William Vintage pieces during her pregnancy with twins Alexander and Ella. While we don’t know for sure whether the two friends have been giving each other shopping tips, we’d bet a pretty (vintage) penny on it.

The bad news: The store is located all the way in London. The good news: You can shop the store on FarFetch (if you’re into spending your life’s savings on one-of-a-kind couture, of course).

Or, we could just book a trip to London and hope we see a celeb or royal sighting during our visit to the Marylebone shop…Yeah, we’ll do that one instead.
