Matt LeBlanc Announces He’s Ready to Retire at Age 50
At the ripe age of 50, Matt LeBlanc will soon be joining Prince Philip in the fantasy world of Champagne wishes and caviar dreams that is retirement.
During LeBlanc's appearance on last night’s episode of Conan, host Conan O'Brien confronted him about a recent interview in which the Friends actor mentioned his imminent retirement. LeBlanc, who just turned 50 in July, admitted the rumors are sadly true, and he's now—more than ever—ready to lean back and relax.
“I would like to retire earlier than later, because I think I would like to do not a f**king thing. That's what I would like to do. Just nothing. Nothing! Zero,” he told the host.
Lucky for us, O'Brien didn't buy LeBlanc's lip service and further pressed the Episodes actor by saying, “You have to do something, so explain to me what that something would be.”
Spoken like the true Joey Tribbiani, LeBlanc detailed a perfect day in the life of his retirement. “It's just not having to go somewhere or having someone else telling you what you have to do. Maybe you go to the gym, or not go to the gym. Maybe you have nine cups of coffee, or not.” Just livin' the dream.
We're happy for LeBlanc, but don't forget to check in every once in a while to let us know “how you doin.'”
