‘Virgin River’ Star Martin Henderson Shares Thirst Trap Hiking Photo on Instagram

Fans are counting down the days until Virgin River season five premieres on Netflix this fall. Meanwhile, Martin Henderson (who plays Jack Sheridan) is living his best #VanLife.

Earlier this month, the 48-year-old actor posted a slideshow of photos on his personal Instagram account. The post offered a rare glimpse into what Henderson does when the cameras aren’t rolling. (Hint: He’s an outdoorsy guy.)

The first photo doubled as a thirst trap, featuring Henderson posing shirtless in front of a scenic background. The pic was followed by a skiing snap, a candid frisbee toss, a roadside photo and a rooftop pose. Browse the slideshow above to see the memories for yourself.

Henderson captioned the post, “Can’t believe there’s still so much snow up here at this time of year! Love being back in the Sierras…majestic mountains rising up out of the desert like an Alpine oasis providing a pure wilderness playground. #ilovecali #roadtrip #vanlife.”

Virgin River follows a young woman named Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge). The nurse practitioner moves to a small town looking for a new start, and it doesn’t take long for her to meet a handsome bar owner, Jack (Henderson). The first four seasons are now streaming on Netflix, and the fifth installment is expected to premiere sometime this fall.

Perhaps Henderson’s trip was his last hoorah before filming begins for Virgin River season six. *Crosses fingers*
