Being on TV has its perks, like glam squads and wardrobe departments—or, if you’re Martha Stewart, the ability to embarrass your daughter at your leisure.
That’s just what the 77-year-old domestic doyenne did today during a visit to The Wendy Williams Show. In addition to discussing the, um, extracurricular activities she indulged in during Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, Stewart asked her daughter, Alexis (53), for a little favor.
Before making her request, Stewart explained the situation to Williams, 54, saying, “I’m trying to get [Alexis] to let me take [her daughter] Jude, who is 7, to the new Mary Poppins movie. [It’s] Monday night—the premiere—wouldn’t that be great? And she doesn’t want her to go!” Not cool, Alexis.
So, without a single ounce of chill, The Martha Manual: How to Do (Almost) Everything author turned to face the camera and spoke directly to her daughter. “Alexis, can I please take Jude to see Marry Poppins…It would be so nice,” she pleaded.
Come on, Alexis. Consider it your mom’s holiday present.
