Beware: Mandy Moore Says the ‘This Is Us’ Season 3 Premiere ‘Is Not for the Faint of Heart’
This Is Us season three is still three months away, but according to the Pearson women, it’s definitely worth the wait. (Duh.)
Mandy Moore and Chrissy Metz, who play Rebecca and Kate Pearson respectively on the hit NBC drama, took to social media after reading the season three premiere script to share their reaction. Spoiler alert: There were lots of feelings.
Moore issued a PSA on her Instagram Stories, explaining that the season premiere “Is not for the faint of heart,” and should under no circumstances be followed by a Queer Eye binge-watching sesh. Yep, that sounds about right.
Metz echoed her on-screen mom’s sentiments and admitted that the episode also made her cry in public, which is basically par for the course with This Is Us.
“Just read our season 3 premiere episode on the flight home…The flight attendant asked if I was okay…Still not sure,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. She also tacked on a “Feelings” GIF to really drive her point home.
We may not know what the season three premiere, which airs at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25 on NBC, has in store for us, but it looks like emotional catharsis is guaranteed. Bring on the waterproof mascara.
