Mandy Moore Reacts to ‘This Is Us’ Emmys Snub: ‘I Will Be Forever Grateful’

After the 2022 Emmy nominations were announced, fans noticed that many celebrities were snubbed from the 74th annual ceremony. This included This Is Us star Mandy Moore, who expressed her disappointment on social media.

Yesterday, the 38-year-old reacted to the news with a heartfelt message on her Instagram Story. Moore addressed This Is Us’s lack of recognition by the Television Academy, since neither the NBC series nor the cast received any nominations (excluding one music nod). However, she revealed that she’s proud of what they were able to accomplish for the show’s sixth—and final—season.

“Do I wish our show was recognized in what I think was it’s finest hour? Sure,” Moore wrote. “And Dan Fogelman’s brilliant writing for 6 seasons (hello THE TRAIN)? @kenolin1’s impeccable direction? Our insanely, wildly talented cast and crew? Yah……”

She continued, “But nothing can take away what our show meant to SO MANY (us included). That’s an incredible legacy to be a part of. I will be grateful forever.”

Despite her disappointment, Moore took a moment to recognize her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, who received an Emmy nomination for his song, “Forever Now,” that was featured on This Is Us.

She wrote, “So unendingly proud of @siddkhoslamusic and @taylordawesgoldsmith for getting an Emmy nom for their song ‘Forever Now’ on our final season of #ThisIsUs.”

Moore posted another screenshot of Goldsmith’s nomination and wrote, “Proud wife alert!”

Shout-out to Moore for being a good sport in disappointing circumstances.
