Just because she plays a grandmother in season two of Big Little Lies doesn’t mean Meryl Streep has any real-life grandparenting experience…yet.
The actress’s daughter, Mamie Gummer, recently gave birth to her first child, according to Us Weekly. The baby boy, who Gummer shares with fiance Mehar Sethi, is Streep’s first grandchild, so we can only imagine how spoiled that child will be.
Back in August, the new parents announced their engagement when Sethi posted a now-deleted picture on Instagram with the caption, “My fiancé.” The couple revealed they were expecting their first child four months later.
Gummer is Streep’s eldest daughter. She also shares three other children with her husband, Don Gummer: Henry (39), Grace (32) and Louisa (27).
