Disney-going moms and dads can now breathe a sigh of relief: Magic Kingdom just added alcoholic beverages to the last of its “dry” menus, officially making it the happiest booziest place on earth.
The last of the park’s sit-down restaurants, the Crystal Palace and the Plaza Restaurant are adding cocktails to their previously booze-free menus: a mimosa made with Domaine Ste. Michelle Champagne, and a white sangria featuring Sauvignon Blanc, pineapple juice, spices and fruit. Sounds delish. The restaurants will also serve beer, cider and wine in addition to the signature cocktails.
One more perk? The park is also adding alcohol to its table service plans, meaning vacationers don’t have to purchase a drink separately from their meal if they’ve paid for a plan. But don’t expect the park’s many pop-up stands and counter service spots to serve up boozy refreshments anytime soon.
FYI, Walt Disney himself wanted Magic Kingdom to be a dry zone. Cheers to Disney for always giving the people what they want: alcohol.
