Luke Bryan’s Gold Suit Stole the Show at the 2019 ACM Awards
No one could miss Luke Bryan at the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards.
The head turning getup might surprise some fans, considering the “Play It Again” singer is known for sticking with the basics: a button-down shirt, jeans and cowboy boots.
Nevertheless, Bryan wasn’t the only one rocking metallics on the red carpet. In fact, the musician coordinated with his wife, Caroline Boyer, who wore an embellished gold gown.
During the ceremony, Bryan received two nods for Entertainer of the Year and Single Record of the Year (“Most People Are Good”). Although he didn’t win either category, his attendance wasn’t a total waste.
When Reba McEntire took the stage for her monologue, she joked about Bryan’s latest milestone before cutting to the singer in the audience, holding a cue card that reads, “Luke Bryan had 22 #1 hits.”
It’s important to point out the gold suit didn’t make it through the entire show. Bryan changed into a black leather jacket, T-shirt and jeans when he performed his new single, “Knockin’ Boots.”
Go big or go home, amirite?
