Lorde’s ‘Melodrama’ Was a (Short-Lived) Louvre Exhibit, Thanks to This Superfan
When you visit the world’s largest art museum, you expect to see the usual masterpieces: Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and Lorde. Wait, what?
Apparently, one superfan thinks the singer’s most recent album, Melodrama, is high art. She sneakily propped up the album in various spots around the Louvre and snapped a few quick photos. (ICYMI: A song on the album, titled “The Louvre,” contains the lyric “But we’re the greatest, they’ll hang us in the Louvre.”) She documented her, ahem, curation on Twitter:
Hey @lorde , I hung Melodrama in the Louvre !? Nina ? (@NinaRichard_) November 26, 2017
A masterpiece surrounded by others - l took it on a journey through time and space, from Antiquity, passing by Renaissance, to Modern Times.
(I had to do it very quickly cause security started to watch me and hunt down on me lol) pic.twitter.com/PlOZOqoA9l
We hope Lorde takes notice, considering her admirer had to dodge security to pay homage. Then again, the pop star might be a little preoccupied with a certain Grammy nomination. NBD.
