Pretty much anything Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle touches turns into retail gold (seriously, the power of the Markle Sparkle is very, very real), but what about something they both love? That's basically the highest praise a brand could ever ask for. French handbag brand Longchamp is one of the lucky few to count both duchesses as fans, and now some of its most-loved styles are receiving a bold, fresh new look.
The new Longchamp LGP collection features a graphic makeover of a classic monogram. The bold colors and uneven letters on the bags were inspired by Bauhaus design and Andy Warhol. And, although they would certainly be considered a daring choice for a royal, these Longchamp styles are pretty perfect carryalls for us commoners with packed summer schedules.
The small pops of neon green (which is a growing trend, generally) give the '60s-esque black-and-white pattern a fresh edge and make for an awesome accent piece to a summery all-white ensemble. On a more practical note, the fact that the Middleton and Markle's go-to style is made from canvas means it will handle hot and humid weather better than a leather tote (no one wants their handbag to literally stick to their side).
Although neither Middleton nor Markle have shown much interest in rocking super-bright colors, Queen Elizabeth certainly has. Could Longchamp's new LGP be the bag to secure the ultimate triple crown and become a staple in all three royal closets? Only time will tell.
