Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest have a good reason to celebrate on Live with Kelly and Ryan.
The daytime series just made history as it entered its 52nd week as the number-one talk show among women 25-54. The announcement was shared on the @livekellyandryan Instagram account, where they said, "Thanks for letting us into your homes every day." This is the first time the show has achieved this milestone in its 33 seasons.
On top of a headline broadcasting the news, the team wrote: "Thank YOU for making us the number one syndicated talk show! It's been a tough year for everyone and we thank you for letting us into your homes every day."
While Live with Kelly and Ryan has remained the number-one daytime (network or syndicated) talk show among women 25-54 for a whole year, Yahoo! reports this is also the first time in the show's history that it has been no. 1 in syndication in total viewers and households.
The talk show has seen many iterations since its transition from The Morning Show into Live with Regis and Kathie Lee back in 1988. And it seems that Ripa and Seacrest are the combination to beat. Ripa, who previously worked alongside Regis Philbin and Michael Strahan, was joined by Seacrest in the fall of 2017. The pair have become known for their natural chemistry, matching outfits and goofy antics.
Ripa and Seacrest have created quite the talk show formula.
