Apparently, ‘Little Women’ Pulled a ‘Game of Thrones’ & Left *2* Water Bottles on Screen

Not even masterpieces are immune to little flaws. Take Greta Gerwig’s movie adaptation of Little Women, for instance. The critically-acclaimed film is beloved by fans and was the subject of an uproar when Gerwig was passed over for several prestigious awards. But now, the adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s novel is making headlines for another reason.

One eagle-eyed fan named Madelyn Rancourt shared on TikTok last week that there appeared to be a reusable water bottle and plastic water bottle accidentally left on-screen during a scene between Teddy (Timothée Chalamet) and Jo (Saoirse Ronan), Meg (Emma Watson), Beth (Eliza Scalen) and Amy (Florence Pugh) March. In the video, Rancourt explained that she’s a huge fan of the book and film and has seen Gerwig’s version many times. But, she noted, “I don’t know if anyone else noticed but there is a hydro flask and a [Poland] Springs water bottle just casually sitting there during some of the scene. Let me know if some of you noticed this.”

Following her discovery, many fans spoke out on social media, saying that they also noticed the comical error. As one Twitter user simply put it, “I cannot.”

You’ll notice in the photos above that there does appear to be a black Hydro Flask and plastic water bottle present in the aforementioned scene, which takes place nearly 39 minutes into the film.

With Rancourt’s theory proved, some were quick to point out that Game of Thrones made a similar mistake during the final season of the show, when a Starbucks to-go coffee cup sat in front of Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) like it was no big deal.

Our only question: How do these people have such good eyesight and attention to detail?!
