Neon Eyeliner, Orange Shadow & Goth Lips: The Best Beauty Looks on the ‘Little Women’ Red Carpet

Although Little Women experienced a bit of a Golden Globes snub this year, the upcoming film’s red carpet style was definitely applause-worthy. From Saoirse Ronan’s neon eyeliner to Emma Watson’s Princess of Darkness vibe, here are the best looks from the film’s New York premiere.

1. Emma Watson

Gone are Watson’s Harry Potter Hermione locks. For the Little Women premiere, the 29-year-old Meg March went with a sort of Goth princess vibe. She sported a high messy bun with loose wavy tendrils of hair framing her face, a few swipes of glitter gel at her roots and a gold wire headband. She complimented her black lace Balenciaga gown and thigh-high boots with oxblood red lipstick, burgundy eye shadow and bold brows. And that bejeweled ear cuff? We love it.

2. Eliza Scalen

Scalen, who plays Beth in Little Women, offset the minimalism of her white Khaite turtleneck gown (well, except for its balloon sleeves) with a swath of unexpected orange eye shadow. The 20-year-old Sharp Objects star’s shadow started at the inner corners of her eye with a gold sparkle that gradually became sunset orange with an ombré effect. Paired with her dewy skin, blush-hued cheeks and lips and pixie cut, it was basically a modern take on Audrey Hepburn.

3. Saoirse Ronan

The 25-year-old Emmy winner, who plays Jo in the film, matched her makeup to her Gucci gown and opted for a turquoise eyeliner that really made her pale blue eyes pop. Ronan kept the rest of her makeup subtle and almost appeared to have a bare face aside from her eyeliner. It’s a bold move—especially with her nun-esque embellished Gucci number and its thigh-high slit.
