The newly engaged “Cannonball” singer announced her official MOH pick on Instagram with a beach selfie of herself and her bestie and former Glee costar, Jonathan Groff.
Michele and Groff struck up a friendship when they starred opposite each other in the 2006 rock musical Spring Awakening. They reunited to play Rachel Berry and Jesse St. James in Glee from 2009 to 2015 and have remained close since.
It appears Michele took a page out of her fiancé, Zandy Reich’s, playbook for her maid of honor proposal. Reich popped the question in the Hamptons on April 28 with a dazzling four-carat sparkler (bravo, Zandy). It doesn’t look like Michele presented Groff with a gift of the same magnitude, but the sentiment’s all the same.
