Lady Tatiana Mountbatten—Queen Elizabeth’s Relative—Ties the Knot in Intimate Wedding

Queen Elizabeth is celebrating a super-special occasion from afar.

The monarch’s relative, Lady Tatiana Mountbatten, recently tied the knot with her beau, Alexander Dru (who goes by “Alick”). The intimate ceremony took place over the weekend at Winchester Chapel, where they exchanged vows in front of friends and family. (See photos here.)

Lady Tatiana wore a stunning traditional gown by Suzanne Neville, which featured cap sleeves, an open back and intricate beading. According to the Daily Mail, the train held a special meaning to the bride because it included embroidery from her mother’s wedding dress. Lady Tatiana styled her hair in a glamorous updo that was covered by a dramatic tulle veil.

Lady Tatiana is the daughter of Prince Philip’s first cousin, the Marquess of Milford Haven, which makes her a relative of Queen Elizabeth. Like the monarch, Lady Tatiana is a descendent of Queen Victoria and shares a passion for horseback riding.

If her last name, Mountbatten, sounds familiar, that’s because it’s one of the hyphenated monikers used by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, Archie and Lilibet. (FYI, Archie’s full name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.)

We first learned about Lady Tatiana’s engagement earlier this year when she announced the exciting news on social media. Alick popped the question during a ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland.

Congratulations to the newlyweds!
