Lady Gaga Confirms She’s Pregnant (but It’s Not What You Think)
As is the case for every famous woman in the universe, Lady Gaga has been subject to pregnancy rumors since she first belted “Just Dance.” And while she usually chooses to just ignore those false claims, this time she decided to address them head on and actually confirmed she does have something gestating. No, Gaga isn’t pregnant—but she does have another album on the way. (*Cue the worldwide freak-out.*)
In a tweet posted on March 12, Gaga confirmed that LG6 (aka her sixth studio album) is definitely in the works. Unfortunately, Gaga didn’t elaborate on when exactly we might be blessed with her bundle of joy latest creation, but fingers crossed the answer is soon.
Here’s what we know about LG6 so far: Scottish producer and musician SOPHIE, producer DJ White Shadow and Joanne producer BloodPop
Other than her contributions to the soundtrack for A Star Is Born (for which she won an Oscar, let us never forget), Lady Gaga hasn’t released a collection of music since her fifth studio album, Joanne, in 2016. And while she’s been talking about LG6 since the summer of 2017, it’s not tough to understand why it still hasn’t been released—Gaga has been busier than a mom of four during flu season.
In the last three years, Lady Gaga headlined the Super Bowl LI halftime show, performed at Coachella, began a world tour promoting Joanne (which she then had to end early due to complications from fibromyalgia) and released the documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two about her experiences during this time. She then appeared in A Star Is Born, writing and recording original songs for the movie, before embarking on a months-long press tour for the film. Last, but not least, she has two different Las Vegas residency shows in the works. Phew. We’re tired just thinking about it.
Hopefully there will be more information for the Little Monsters soon. Until then, we’ll be listening to Shallow on repeat.
