Bell, 38, took the award for best Thronie costume ever and dressed as Viserion. She wore a dragon-scale jumpsuit complete with wings, a hood and—wait for it—a tiny Night King affixed to her back. She also made her blue eyes even more icy looking with contacts. Genius.
Her 44-year-old husband channeled his inner Three Eyed Raven and did a perfect Bran impression. He even had the plush fur blanket and telltale my-eyes-are-rolling-back-in-my-head-because-I’m-having-a-vision expression.
There was also a pretty spot-on Benjen Stark (that lantern though), a Jon Snow in need of a haircut, a potentially pregnant Cersei and a cozy-looking Melisandre. The gang was all there.
But costumes weren’t the only way Bell, Shepard and friends rang in the new season. They also hung the coat of arms of the three great houses and prepared special themed food. Instead of pot pies, there were Arya’s House of Frey Pot Pies. Doritos became Hodoritos. Something stewing in a Crock-Pot became Dragon Slop.
Suffice it to say, they took the throne in terms of most on-brand party. Bell captioned her photo slideshow from the evening, “Maximum effort on #GOT night. FOR THE THRONE!!”
We wonder if they’ll keep it up through the rest of the season…
