Kristen Bell’s 5-Year-Old Daughter Washed Her Own Hair with...Vaseline?!

Kristen Bell found herself in a pretty hairy situation earlier this month when she realized that her daughter had washed her own hair with petroleum jelly.

The 39-year-old actress appeared on a recent episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and explained exactly what happened when she left her five-year-old daughter, Delta, alone in the bathtub.

“So she’s in there and I go to get her out, and I go, ‘Oh, I don’t think you got all the conditioner out.’ And she’s like, ‘No I rinsed it,'” Bell explained. “And 10 minutes later, as I’m putting her pajamas on and I’m like, ‘What did you use?!’’ Delta’s response? Vaseline.

At the time, the mother of two headed to Instagram to ask her followers for tips on how to get the Vaseline out of her daughter's curls. “My daughter just washed her hair with Vaseline and I can’t get it out,” she said in an Instagram Story. “Has this ever happened to anyone? Does anyone have any tips?”

The solution? “Three rounds of Hello Bello shampoo, one round of clarifying shampoo, two rounds of dish soap and then we still had to wait four days because none of that worked,” Bell told DeGeneres.

The Frozen 2 star also used her time with Ellen to discuss the awkward encounter between her hubby Dax Shepard and her mom, Lorelai. It all started during a text exchange when the 45-year-old actor mistook the smiley face emoji for the eggplant one. Bell explained that the emoji made an innocent situation seem dirty, adding, “By the way, the minute you involve an eggplant emoji, the whole story changes. Which is not how the original [text] read, or what she intended, but thankfully she didn’t know what an eggplant emoji was.”

Never change Bell/Shepard family.
