The movie, out November 6, 2020, focuses on the Eternals, a group of godlike superheroes that must fight against their enemies, called the Deviants.
Harington's character, The Black Knight, who also goes by the name Dane Whitman, has a legacy that dates back to King Arthur (seems fitting) and wields a superpower through the Ebony Blade, an indestructible, enchanted sword that's been passed down through his family for generations, according to Screen Rant.
The movie will also star Madden as Ikaris, an eternal with the superpower of immortality, along with Kumail Nanjiani, Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Lia McHugh, Don Lee and Gemma Chan.
The craziest part about the announcement, though, was pointed out by some very astute Game of Thrones and Marvel super-fans via Twitter. Fans looked to the HBO series to revisit the last time Harington and Madden shared the small screen. It's when Jon Snow is leaving for the Wall.
"The next time I see, you'll be in all black," Madden's Robb Stark tells Jon.
"It was always my color," Harington's Jon replies...which feels like a mega allusion to his new Black Knight character.
Yep, consider us ~shook~.
