Truth be told: The only reason we’re ever in a vodka soda mood is because we’re actually in a “I don’t want to feel like a bloated sugary roly-poly after a few drinks” mood. Otherwise, we’d be ordering fun frozen slushies and tasty beers every time we drank.
Thankfully, though, we don’t have to sacrifice taste for calories with Ketel One’s newest creation: diet vodka. Dubbed Ketel One Botanical, the 30 percent ABV alcohol contains only 73 calories per shot, which is 25 percent less than Ketel One’s typical vodkas and 40 percent less than a glass of white wine.
Although it doesn’t contain the minimum amount ABV of most vodkas (40 for regular distilled spirits and 37.5 for flavored, hence why the label says “made with vodka”), the lower calories are well worth the less intense buzz. It comes in three fancy-sounding flavor combos: grapefruit and rose, peach and orange blossom and cucumber and mint.
So pour up the spiked rosé seltzers and diet grapefruit vodkas, because it’s Friday and we’re ready to partayyyyyy.
