Kerry Washington just gave fans a rare look at her roller skating skills (and simultaneously demonstrated how everyone's year has been going so far).
The Scandal star posted a side-by-side video on Instagram that featured herself in roller skates, trying to imitate the professional skater, Oumi Janta. She wrote, "@oumi_janta you’re my ROLL model [laughing emoji]."
As Janta dances and glides in her skates, looking as graceful as ever, Washington opts for a sillier and much simpler routine, trying her best to keep her balance on four wheels.
The comedic post garnered a lot of laughs from fellow stars, including Mindy Kaling and Sterling K. Brown, who wrote, "THAT...was funny!" Meanwhile, How to Get Away with Murder's Viola Davis gave the actress an A for effort and said, "Wooohooo!!!! You're doing it girl [heart emojis]."
The post comes more than three months after Washington tweeted about the viral skater and contemplated getting her own new skates. After discovering Janta's impressive videos online, she said, "Is she teaching zoom classes for [roller skating]?? Because I’d like to sign up also. I think I wanna buy some skates. Should I go in-line or classic four wheels?!?!?!"
Judging by her recent Instagram post, it looks like the actress went with a pair of yellow and sky blue IMPALA Quad Skates, and thankfully, you can now get the same ones for $100. Not only are they vegan and PETA-approved, but these vintage and stylish skates are also durable (and still in stock!). Looks like we've got some shopping to do.
