Kelly Rowland Reveals Surprise Pregnancy (& Baby Bump) for Her Latest Magazine Cover
She captioned the post, “SURPRISE!! My @womenshealthmag cover issue is online now and on newsstands next week!”
The gallery captured the Destiny’s Child alum showing off her baby bump in a series of poses for the magazine. (Seriously, Rowland can rock just about anything.) In the issue, she talks about everything from her new TV movie Merry Liddle Christmas to quarantine life to her big pregnancy announcement.
“We had been talking about it loosely, and then COVID happened, and we were just like ‘Let’s see what happens,’” she told Women’s Health.
She expressed in the interview that she was hesitant at first to post the news on social (and do the interview), but ultimately made the decision to share it with the world—especially her die-hard fans. “But you still want to remind people that life is important,” she said. “And being able to have a child...I’m knocking at 40’s door in February. Taking care of myself means a lot to me.”
And we’re glad she did. The post garnered over 400,000 likes with celebs like Mariah Carey, Tracee Ellis Ross and Michelle Williams congratulating the mom-to-be. Even Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Lawson, gave her a shoutout and spilled the beans on having to keep the secret for so long. “So happy you are announcing today!!! It has been hard keeping this exciting news a secret. Congrats Tim and Titan too. Grandchildren yayyyy!!!!”
This will be Rowland’s second child with husband Tim Weatherspoon. They share 5-year-old Titan, who you can see all over her IG feed. We can’t wait to see Titan show off his big brother skills.
