Kelly Ripa Gets Real About Her Thanksgiving, From Family Pics to Pie to What Caused 'Maximum Irritation'

Kelly Ripa is getting candid about her family’s Thanksgiving.

On a recent episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, the 51-year-old opened up to Ryan Seacrest and viewers about how she, Mark Consuelos and their three kids celebrated this year’s Turkey Day. Turns out, the festivities involved a ton of potatoes and traveling.

Ripa revealed the items on the menu. “Peas, potatoes. I have every kind of potato—sweet, mashed, au gratin (a la Michael and me from the show),” she stated. (ICYMI: Ripa was joined by her eldest son on the show last week where they prepared the dish together.) “I had lots of pie.”

According to All My Children alum, she spent much of the holiday on the road to spend time with all family members including, Michael, daughter Lola and son, Joaquin as well as Ripa’s parents.

She continued, “I was just traveling between South Jersey and Long Island for maximum irritation. I was like, ‘Guys don’t you want to do it in the city this year?’ And they said, ‘No, we want to be out on Long Island because we can have a roaring fire and all of that.’”

Naturally, the TV personality also provided photos from the long weekend. First, she presented viewers with a snap of “the whole tribe” seated together on the couch at home, followed by a selfie of the “chickens” (AKA her three kids) and herself. “I wasn’t allowed to post [the selfie] on social media,” Ripa revealed. “So, here it is.”

Thanksgiving with the Ripa-Consueloses sounds like there’s never a dull moment.
